Wirda Mansur was the first child of Ustadz Yusuf Mansur who was very well known in the community. Like his father, Wirda has also studied religious sciences since childhood. She succeeded in publishing her first nonfiction work entitled Reach Your Dreams at the end of 2016. The book’s front cover is interesting because of the amazing color combination of tosca, pink, and white. The animation and titles that appear also add value to the cover of the book. This book has many illustrations that will please the eye so that we won’t get bored when we read this book.
In this book, Wirda shared many things. He wrote not only about his dreams but also about his friends, family, his school in America, and her journey across the world with Al-Quran in it. Wirda also shares her experience while in the United States, Jordan, Japan, and some countries she visits, which will be very interesting.
Wirda also told the story of his life in this book. Many people underestimate her dream of going to school abroad. They assumed Wirda could get what she wanted because she is the daughter of the famous ustadz. However, their thinking was improper. They don’t know how much Wirda’s struggle to achieve her dreams.
The writing type is similar to a diary, since the language spoken is so easygoing. Like a diary, the stories in this book vary greatly. Readers will not tire of reading this book because on each page is an attractive illustration and a pink combination on each page that will appeal to teenage girls to read.
This book is highly recommended for reading by teens, especially teenage girls who want to earn their dreams. Because in this book, besides relating the stories and experiences of the writers, it also discusses the challenges of youth and the problems they face. The language of the book is also so light that it is easy to understand. Through this book, Wirda gives all of us the motivation to stay alive in our dreams. Wirda also taught us to be patient and to think positively about everything.
