GO, book that written by Kazuki Kaneshiro will show you bizzare story. Published on 2007 in japan and 2019 in Jakarta by Gramedia Pustaka utama, this book give us fresh but bitter story. Maybe you will hard to understand the plot in this novel. The reason is although there are 248 pages only, there are some unusual term in this narration
This book has unique love story. Main character is a boy named sugihara (his Japanese name). He fall in love with Sakurai. This Japanese girl also love him, but It isn’t as simple as that. The characters in this story have strong principle in their live. This is the reason behind Sugihara’s Relationship problems. Not only in man and woman relationship, but also in family relationship. His father is Zainichi Chosenjin−Japan citizen that has north Korean nationalities−, and a Marxist. Maybe its make his son believe that nationalities is not the determined part of human that can’t be changed. Sugihara is a student in Japanese High School in Japan. He don’t like fighting since he is high school student, but many people challenge him. The result is most of all challenger lose. This achievement makes him has a “wild” friend. This person is the first student who defeated by sugihara. So this book also tell us about friendship between extraordinary people. Not only with son of criminal organization high leutnant, Sugihara also make a friend with bookworm. This nerd’s name is Jeong-il. Although they have difference in choosing books to read, they are really close friend. This novel also explain some unique thing in North Korean society. Because of those elements, this story has complicated relationship with many strange problem.
Before reading this book, you must know that the romance story is for grown up people, because sometime there are dark-room moments. A bit of historical content also exist. Although not detailed so much, action moment is occurred too. So this book is good to read when you want to get more knowledge but also want to read unusual romance, family, and friendship story.
